Can we finally agree trade shows are dead?

Since the beginning of time, we have congregated to share our wares and conduct business in a centralized forum. But then the internet came.

Maybe you preferred your time in the dungeon of  the Mosconi Center to walking San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood, or you relished your days at the Parc des Expositions on the outskirts of Paris when you could have been catching the whiff of coffee on the quiet streets of Le Marais. Maybe you didn't mind that you were missing the Super Bowl from your 10x10 booth at the Javits Convention Center.

Or, like me, you remember those cold convention hall moments when you wondered: "Why am I here?"
