Haven't we been telling them they should know what they're buying when it comes to extra virgin olive oil? Look for the harvest date. Check the origin. Buy from a reputable producer and merchant. The only way to know if it's good or not is to taste it.

There are many online merchants whose well-designed websites are good at answering these and other questions.  The more successful ones are educating first, selling second.
